Self Initiated Project: Books

As I have some wall storage and a modular bookshelf within the living area, I needed something to fill these areas. So I have created 5 different types of book sizes, tall thin book, tall thick book, medium book, small thin book and a small thick book. Doing this will add diversity to the bookshelf. For each of the books I have created multiple textures so the books don’t look all the same. Some of the textures are books from my own house and I have just scanned into my computer and some are generic book covers that I have found and altered to get different colours. Overall I feel it looks reasonably decent and doesn’t look like its the same book over and over.

Instead of placing the books on the shelf in a nice neat line, I decided to place them like some have fallen over or just been quickly put back on the shelf. I did this to give the impression that the room is lived in and doesn’t look like a show home.
