Self Initiated Project: TV and Remote

For the creation of the TV and remote, I started off with a box and extruded, inset various polygons until it looked somewhat like a TV. Although it does look like a TV, I don’t feel happy with the dimensions and look of it; so this is something I could go back and change if that was the case.

As for the texturing side of the TV and remote, I feel I did very well with texuring, except the back of it which looks irregular but because that will be flat against the wall, it doesn’t matter so much. As the TV will be off and on standby mode in the environment, I decided to create a emissive texture to allow the red power symbol to glow red.

A remote is a good asset to put in an environment that you want to look lived in as it can be placed anywhere to look like it has been used.
