3DS Max – Easy Challenge

We was set a challenge in technical production skills to create a randomly chosen object in 3DS max, first we had to choose whether we wanted it to be easy, medium or hard and we had to pick a slip of paper with an image of the object on it from 3 named wallets. I went for easy, since my 3D knowledge could do with some work.

The image I got was a sketch book, at first I thought “Ohh no, this will be difficult”. But once I had gotten into it and actually thought about it, it was really quite easy.

I didn’t texture it or anything, only the plane it is sat on is textured.

Below is the original image and below that is my attempt at it in 3D. It’s not exactly the same because It’s still a sketch book so that’s all that matters…
