3DS Max – Box Unwrap

So for our ‘Technical Production’ lessons we have been learning some of the techniques used within 3DS Max. We have been taught how to unwrap a box so we can texture it and using less polys. Paul has asked us to try and unwrap the 5 basic primitives (Sphere, cube, torus, cone and cylinder) and see if we can come up with a basic unwrap for each. Firstly I thought I would start off with the easiest, with this being the cube.

Below is my attempt at doing this.
