5* Game pad Design

For the 5* reviews that we have to do I thought I would design something that was quick and easy to show the rating for the websites that I’ll be reviewing, instead of the generic 5 stars that are usually shown.

So the idea I had was to get an image of a cartoon game pad and change the colours to show a non-highlighted rating, a highlighted rating and a half coloured rating.

To get the colour on the coloured pad I just put a layer on top of the game pad and coloured it, then deleted the parts I did not want coloured like the buttons and the edge.

Fully coloured rating.

Half coloured rating.

Non-coloured rating.
